DIRECTIONS OF ENSURING ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY OF THE ACTIVITIES OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF A FULL-SCALE INVASION
Abstract
Agricultural enterprises in modern conditions have to face challenges related to the course of military conflicts, which have a negative impact on the environmental safety of their activities. The article examines the main directions of ensuring the environmental safety of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of war. The author focuses on such areas as: ensuring the safety of water resources: in war conditions, the water supply infrastructure may be destroyed, and water basins may be contaminated by the discharge of military substances. It is justified that a full assessment of the scale and level of contamination of agricultural land is possible only after the complete cessation of hostilities in the studied territory. To ensure the purity of water resources at agricultural enterprises, it is necessary to identify and neutralize sources of pollution, as well as to implement purification systems; soil protection: conditions of war can lead to soil degradation due to removal of resources, deforestation and other negative processes. To ensure environmental safety, it is necessary to carry out agro-ecological assessments of soils, take measures to preserve and renew their fertility; reducing the use of chemicals: conditions of war can limit the availability of necessary fertilizers and other chemicals. Therefore, it is necessary to implement effective technologies for growing plants without the use of chemicals, such as organic farming; waste minimization and recycling: in wartime, opportunities for processing and disposal of waste may be limited. It is argued that in order to ensure the environmental safety of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of war, it is necessary to take a set of measures, such as establishing control systems for the quality of land and water resources, ensuring uninterrupted energy supply and maintenance of agricultural machinery, preventing fires and other negative consequences. Also, an important direction of ensuring the environmental safety of agricultural enterprises in the conditions of war is the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies and the implementation of innovative solutions that will reduce the negative impact on the environment.
