DIGITALIZATION OF THE PARADIGM OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL AND ECONOMIC MECHANISM OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION MANAGEMENT

Abstract

Objective. The article discusses the challenges and potential of the higher education institution in proactively adapting, preserving, and strengthening its competitive positions in the context of digital transformation in the period of wide implementation of innovative technologies. Methods. The study methodology relies on scientific methods, including system analysis, synthesis, and specification, to identify the features of digitalization in higher education institutions. Various document management systems were analyzed using the comparison method. Results. The integration of innovative technologies and knowledge-intensive industries, along with the widespread use of computer-mediated communication and digital systems, has made it important to combine professional knowledge with digital literacy. The potential implementation of modern digital systems in managing higher education institutions is currently being examined. The integration of multifunctional digital systems can be beneficial for improving internal processes within universities, as well as enhancing interaction with stakeholders and government agencies. Such systems create a unified information area, automate routine operations, reduce costs, harmonize the interaction of university services, enable monitoring, and improve the accuracy of planning and forecasting. The importance of balancing data confidentiality and availability is emphasized by the key role played by cybersecurity. The factors that can make the university information system vulnerable to both intentional and unintentional damage are outlined. Scientific novelty. The article highlights the main challenges faced by an educational institution in creating a unified digital area and applying modern management tools. The analysis explores the potential of digital communication channels for managing the reputation of an educational institution. It has been suggested that digitizing management processes is beneficial strategy for traditional universities in maintaining their current positions and increasing their competitiveness. Practical significance lies in identifying and analyzing the areas of the greatest potential for the growth of higher education institution in the context of digital transformation.
