ANALYTICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE ACTIVITY OF DOMESTIC ORGANIZED COMMODITY MARKETS IN THE CONDITIONS OF MARTIAL STATE

Abstract

Objective. The article examines the peculiarities of the functioning of domestic organized commodity markets under martial law. Based on the conducted research, it was found that the intensification of key global economic shocks and the growth of geopolitical instability require an increased role of exchange trading. Methods. The article uses a monographic method to study the scientific works of domestic researchers, statistical analysis and comparison in the analytical assessment of domestic organized commodity markets indicators. Results. It is noted that the martial law introduced in Ukraine with the start of hostilities and in response to aggression from Russia has led to the emergence of new risks and instability of the domestic economic system, which has affected the functioning of organized commodity markets. It is noted that in this direction an important role was played by the disruption of logistics chains and the complication of the export of agricultural products, the increase in costs in connection with hostilities and the need to ensure the protection of the economic activities of commodity market entities. This situation has led to a rethinking of the existing models of functioning of organized commodity markets and has necessitated the adjustment of the regulatory framework and organizational and economic conditions for the functioning of professional participants of organized commodity markets in Ukraine. Scientific novelty. Based on the systematization of the existing views of domestic researchers, we have proposed structural and institutional components of domestic organized commodity markets. Practical significance. It is stated that the further development of domestic organized commodity markets in the post-war period requires a set of organizational and economic determinants that will provide the necessary conditions for the effective functioning of this segment of the market economy, namely: formation of market principles for the functioning of subjects of organized commodity markets; strengthening the protection of the rights of investors; accumulation and transfer of free capital in domestic organized markets; competitive advantages for the functioning of domestic organized commodity markets due to the involvement of a larger number of market participants; introduction of trading in exchange-traded derivative contracts; formation of the necessary exchange infrastructure for the functioning of domestic organized commodity markets.
