ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION PATHS INTO PRODUCTION PROCESSES AND ORGANIZATIONAL-ECONOMIC MODELS TO ENSURE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY IN UKRAINE

Abstract

Objective. The purpose of the article is to analyze the directions of integrating digital technologies into production processes and organizational-economic models aimed at ensuring the sustainable development of the automotive industry in Ukraine. The article seeks to develop a model that incorporates innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, Big Data, and augmented reality, for increasing adaptability, efficiency, and competitiveness of the sector. Methods. General scientific methods were applied, including comparative analysis (to evaluate international practices), systematization (to structure the key integration challenges), and modeling (to develop an organizational-economic model). Results. The authors identified the key challenges of Ukraine’s automotive sector, such as low digitalization, outdated infrastructure, and weak institutional support. Based on the study of best practices from EU countries (Slovakia, Romania, Czech Republic), a conceptual model for digital transformation of the automotive industry is proposed. It emphasizes flexible production systems, investment incentives, institutional development, and human capital formation. Special attention is paid to the role of government in creating innovation-friendly ecosystems. Scientific novelty. The article offers a conceptual organizational-economic model for digital integration in Ukraine’s automotive industry, grounded in a synthesis of national specifics and international experience. It highlights the potential of digital technologies to enable rapid adaptation to market changes and ensure economic resilience during crises. Practical significance. The proposed model can serve as a strategic tool for policy-makers, industry leaders, and investors to implement digital transformation, strengthen production capacity, and foster sustainable industrial growth in Ukraine's automotive sector.
