DIGITALIZATION OF THE MARITIME INDUSTRY OF UKRAINE: ECONOMIC EFFECTS AND STRATEGIC PRIORITIES OF COMPETITIVENESS
Abstract
Objective: the article investigates the impact of digitalization on the development of Ukraine's maritime industry, taking into account international experience. The study argues that the digital transformation of Ukraine's maritime sector is a key direction for enhancing the country's competitiveness and integrating into the European transport space. Methods: the research employs a comparative analysis of digitalization approaches in leading maritime countries such as Norway and Singapore. It uses qualitative methods, including case studies of ongoing projects in Ukraine, to identify the economic effects of digital technologies. A model is applied to evaluate the impact direction, digitalization elements, and expected results in the Ukrainian context. Results: the economic effects of the digital transformation of Ukraine's maritime sector are identified, highlighting the expected outcomes such as increased efficiency, reduced transaction costs, and improved competitiveness. Key strategic directions for digital development are proposed, including integration into the EU digital transport system, the creation of a unified digital ecosystem for ports, ensuring digital security, and fostering ecological orientation of digital solutions. Scientific novelty: the study introduces new strategic directions for the digital development of the maritime sector, emphasizing their role in ensuring sustained efficiency, investment attractiveness, and competitiveness in the context of global logistics competition. Practical significance: the findings provide practical implications for formulating policies on the digital development of the maritime sector, contributing to the modernization of Ukraine's ports and enhancing the efficiency of maritime logistics in line with international standards.
