CURRENT TRENDS IN MANAGING THE HUMAN RESOURCES POTENTIAL OF ENTERPRISES: FOREIGN DISCOURSE
Abstract
Objective. The article aims to identify, systematise, and analyse modern foreign scientific approaches to managing enterprises' human resource potential and to identify the main research trends in this area. The study's relevance is due to the transformation of business conditions, digitalisation, global challenges (wars, pandemics, crises), and the growing role of human-centred strategies in achieving enterprises' competitiveness. Methods. The author used systematic analysis, generalisation, and comparison of modern foreign scientific literature during the study. In particular, the author reviewed more than 60 authoritative publications by foreign scholars on various aspects of HRM. The author also used elements of content analysis to identify thematic dominants in modern research. Results. The study identifies the main directions that dominate the current foreign scientific discourse on human resource management: HR analytics; digitalisation of human resource management processes; development of employees' competencies; human resource management in a remote working environment; the role of HR processes in ensuring sustainable development and social responsibility; flexibility and adaptability of human potential in organisations; diversity, equality and inclusion; future skills of employees; changes in approaches to assessing the effectiveness of talent management; staff well-being and mental health; ethical talent management; consideration of employee experience throughout their relationship with the organisation; talent management in organisations in times of instability. The author demonstrates a shift in emphasis in human resource management from administrative and operational to strategic, human-centred, analytical and digital management. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty lies in a comprehensive interdisciplinary analysis of the foreign discourse on the management of enterprises' human resources potential, in identifying the most representative and promising areas of research in this area, and in an attempt to form a structured picture of key scientific trends. The article combines conceptual, analytical and applied approaches to studying human resource management in the global context. Practical significance. The study results can be helpful to Ukrainian business leaders, scientists, HR specialists, and HR strategy developers, as they provide an opportunity to navigate the current global trends in human resources management. In particular, the practical significance lies in the possibility of adapting the best international practices to Ukrainian realities.
