STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS AND MANAGERIAL DECISION-MAKING AS FUNCTIONAL DOMINANTS OF MODERN OFFICE MANAGEMENT
Abstract
The article explores the essence of strategic communications and their role in the decision-making process within the system of office management. In the context of digital transformation, globalization, and the increasing importance of information, communication processes become a critical factor in ensuring organizational effectiveness. The study substantiates that strategic communications should be considered as a key functional dominant that integrates information flows, coordinates organizational activities, and enhances the quality of managerial decision-making. The paper analyzes modern scientific approaches to the interpretation of strategic communications, emphasizing their interdisciplinary nature and their alignment with organizational goals and strategies. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between communication processes and the stages of decision-making, including problem identification, development of alternatives, choice of optimal solutions, implementation, and control. It is argued that communications act not only as a channel for information transfer but also as a dynamic environment for the formation and justification of managerial decisions. The study generalizes existing classifications of communications and highlights their functional characteristics in the context of office management. It is determined that the effectiveness of managerial decisions largely depends on the quality of the communication environment, including the availability, accuracy, and interpretation of information, as well as the level of coordination among organizational actors. The role of cognitive and behavioral factors influencing decision-making is also emphasized, particularly in conditions of uncertainty and limited rationality. Special attention is given to the impact of digitalization on the development of strategic communications. The implementation of modern information and communication technologies significantly increases the speed of data processing and decision-making, while simultaneously creating new challenges such as information overload and the need for advanced digital competencies. It is concluded that strategic communications and managerial decision-making should be considered as interdependent elements of a unified management system. Their integration ensures organizational adaptability, consistency of actions, and overall management effectiveness.
