MODERN CONCEPTS OF STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT OF AVIATION ENTERPRISES IN THE CONDITIONS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND GLOBAL ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATIONS
Abstract
The scientific article is devoted to a comprehensive study, theoretical and methodological substantiation, and systematization of modern concepts of strategic management of aviation enterprises in the context of permanent global transformations and tightening environmental requirements of the economy. The paper analyzes in detail the current challenges faced by aviation business entities (airlines, airports, and maintenance enterprises), including geopolitical instability, fluctuations in energy prices, process digitalization, and strict international decarbonization standards. Particular attention is paid to the integration of sustainable development principles and ESG criteria (Environmental, Social, Governance) into the overall strategic architecture of industry enterprises. It is proved that traditional approaches to strategizing, oriented exclusively on short-term financial and economic indicators and minimization of operating expenses, lose their relevance and efficiency without taking into account environmental and social determinants. Based on a critical analysis of the evolution of management, the author's hybrid approach is proposed, which synthesizes the resource-based view, the theory of dynamic capabilities, and the imperatives of environmental responsibility. Within the framework of the research, a structural-functional model of strategic management has been developed, which contains an adaptive feedback loop and innovative components, such as predictive maintenance (MRO) based on artificial intelligence. The methodical tools for assessing strategic competitiveness have been expanded through the development and mathematical description of a comprehensive environmental sustainability index of an aviation enterprise, accompanied by a practical example of its calculation for a hypothetical airline. An in-depth comparative analysis of key strategic concepts was carried out, highlighting the tools for their implementation and the nature of their impact on financial stability. The promising areas of further research related to modeling scenarios of post-war recovery of the aviation infrastructure of Ukraine in accordance with European environmental and safety standards and mechanisms for attracting "green" financing are identified.
